Terms of Service

Last Updated: May 27, 2026

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the Whistle mobile and web applications (the "Platform"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the Platform. The Platform connects sports officials, hosts, and referee boards.

2. Account Registration and Certification

To use certain features of the Platform (such as accepting game assignments), you must register for an account. Officials must provide accurate information regarding their certification level. Falsifying certification credentials will result in immediate termination of your account.

3. The Anti-Cherry-Picking Clause

Whistle enforces strict commitment rules. If an official accepts an assignment and subsequently drops it to accept a different assignment (often referred to as "cherry-picking"), the platform's automated system will place a block on the official's account for that specific time slot. Repeated violations may result in suspension by your Organizer or Platform Admins.

4. Payment and Payroll Records

Whistle records game fees, payroll details, payout preferences, and related bookkeeping information supplied by Hosts, Organizers, and Officials. Whistle does not process card payments, payouts, or money transmission inside the Platform at this time. Hosts and Organizers remain responsible for issuing payments outside the Platform and for the accuracy of any financial records entered into Whistle.

5. Independent Contractor Status

Officials and Scorekeepers using the Platform are independent contractors. Nothing in these Terms is intended to create an employer-employee relationship, a joint venture, or a partnership between you and Whistle.

6. Location & Check-In Integrity

Officials must utilize the GPS Check-In feature within 500 meters of the scheduled game location. Location access is requested only while the app is in use for active check-in. Attempting to bypass or spoof location services is considered fraud and may result in non-payment and potential platform bans.
